蜜桔直播's听The Pursuit, the university's premier event, will be 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the new Bayou
Pointe Student Event Center, 1 Warhawk Way.听
The event is sponsored by BancorpSouth.
This year's special guest host is听FOX Sports personality Tim Brando. Brando is a long-time
sports announcer who joined听FOX in 2014. In 2017 he signed a multi-year extension听to
announce college football and basketball on FOX.听
Guests can enjoy food from Catfish Cabin, Fieldhouse Bar & Grill and Waterfront Grill
with beverages from Marsala Beverages and Glazer.
The program starts at听6 p.m.听President Nick J. Bruno will be giving听a preview of the upcoming year and a glance
back at the year gone by. Director of Athletics Nick Floyd will talk about the 2018-19
athletic season and Coach Matt Viator will give insights on the Warhawks football
season.听

The Pursuit is named after the Curtis P-40 鈥淲arhawk鈥� fighter planes flown by Gen.
Claire Lee Chennault鈥檚 Flying Tigers during World War II. The 蜜桔直播 Warhawk mascot takes
its name from the planes, which are iconic with the noses painted with an open shark鈥檚
mouth with jagged teeth.
