ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Professor Receives Louisiana Division of Arts Mini-Grant
Cliff Tresner, Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, has received a Mini-Grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts.
Tresner was selected from a field of 121 applicants with grants being awarded to 35 artists. The Louisiana Division of the Arts is a re-granting agency for the National Endowment of the Arts. The non-profit state organization makes funds available to arts of all disciplines including dance, theater, music and literature. Tresner, a visual artist, will use the grant to further his research in sculptural media.
A graduate of Indiana State University with a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Mississippi, Tresner came to ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ two years ago. He currently teaches drawing, design and sculpture and is involved in numerous campus activities including the advancement of technology access to ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ students. Tresner also serves as Faculty Advisor for the newly formed student organization the Student Arts Alliance.
