ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Small Business Tax Class Set
A workshop designed to acquaint small business people with sales and use taxes will be sponsored by the University of Louisiana at Monroe Small Business Development Center on Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 1:30-4 p.m. in the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Administration Building, room 2-105.
Participants will learn to prepare their sales/use tax reports and the procedures for the Louisiana Enterprise Zone Program. The Enterprise Zone program provides tax incentives for starting or expanding small business.
Topics of discussion include: background of sales and use tax in Louisiana; imposition, exemptions, collections, return and payment of sales tax; imposition and impact of use tax; and benefits and local procedures for enrolling in enterprise zones.
