Funding for ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s Title III grant continued
The United States Department of Education has officially notified the University of Louisiana at Monroe that it will receive Title III funding in the amount of $350,000 for the year Oct. 1, 2000-Sept. 30, 2001.
Last September, ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ was was awarded a five-year $1.7 million grant to strengthen its academic support services in attracting retaining students. Initially, the University received $346,000 to establish a Center for Academic and Student Success (CASS) which features services such as career counseling primariuly for freshmen and sophomores and a college survival skills center, among others.
