ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ fraternity honored
The Eta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at the University of Louisiana at Monroe was recently named Most Outstanding Chapter in the Region for the second consecutive year and took Most Outstanding Grade Point Average in the Region at the organization's Super Regional Leadership Conference in Birmingham, Ala.
Ten undergraduates of the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ PKA chapter and its advisor attended the three-day conference. Twenty-two Pike chapters from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia were in attendance. Topics covered in the weekend leadership retreat were risk management, pledge education, alumni relations and scholarship.
Pi Kappa Alpha's International Governing Body requires that each region have least one regional workshop per year. This year, for the first time ever, two regions joined for the event. All officers from ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s chapter were able to attend thanks to a contribution from their Alumni Association.
