ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s Irwin selected for Government Relations Board
Dr. David Irwin, Interim Dean for the College of Allied Health and Rehabilitation Professions at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, has been selected to participate in the Government Relations Forum (GRF) for the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions (ASAHP).
Irwin is one of only 20 administrators from allied health programs around the country selected to participate in the forum. The GRF will be held May 4-5 in Washington, D.C.
During the forum Irwin will have the opportunity to attend sessions designed to increase funds for allied health programs at the federal level. Meetings will be held with the Director of the Department of Health and Hospitals, Louisiana's U.S. Senators John Breaux and Mary Landrieu, and Fifth District Congressman John Cooksey. He will also meet with other committees that impact the education of allied health and rehabilitation professionals.
The ASAHP is a national, not for profit professional association for administrators, educators and others who are concerned with the critical issues facing the education of allied health and rehabilitation professionals.
