ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ and Small Business Development Center offers class on SBA 8 (a) program
The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Small Business Development Center will offer a workshop that will inform small socially and economically disadvantaged business owners how they might receive federal contracts on a sole-source or limited competition basis through the SBA 8 (a) Program.
Under the 8 (a) Program, the Small Business Administration enters into prime contracts with Federal department and agencies and subcontracts the performance of work to disadvantage small businesses that are certified participants in the 8 (a) Program.
Topics include: What is 8 (a), benefits from 8 (a) status, qualifying for 8 (a) status, 8 (a) certification, etc.
This free class will meet Wednesday, May 17 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Administration Building, room 2-50. For more information, contact the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ SBDC at 342-1224.
