Education officials to hold Friday press conference at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥
Louisiana's top higher education officials take a stand on the income tax-sales tax constitutional amendments (Stelly Amendments) on the Nov. 7 ballot.
A press conference will be held this Friday (Oct. 20) at 10 a.m. in the University Conference Center on the seventh floor of the University of Louisiana at Monroe's University Library, to state higher education's position on the two tax amendments and what those taxes mean for our state colleges and universities. Participating in the press conference will be Louisiana Commissioner of Higher Education Joseph Savoie, LSU System President Bill Jenkins, University of Louisiana System President Bobby Jindal, Louisiana Community and Technical College President Wayne Brown and the presidents and chancellors of local state colleges and universities.
