ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ student has Wesley art showing
Kelley May, a senior studio art major in the University of Louisiana at Monroe Department of Art, currently has a One-person Award Exhibition in Painting on display at the WEsley Art Gallery in the Northeast Campus Ministry facility.
May is the second of six award-winning student-artists to mount exhibitions at Wesley during the current academic year. Such exhibitions are prizes awarded at the Annual Arts Quest, a juried competition for ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ students and alumni.
On display are acrylic on canvas easel paintings espousing landscape, figurative, portrait, still life and non-objective imagery. In support of this major statement, the artist is also displaying portrait, landscape and still life relief woodcut prints, mixed media drawings and silverprint photographs.
This 14-piece exhibition will be on display through Oct. 13. The Wesley Art Gallery, located at 112 Delano Drive on the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ campus, is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
