Award exhibition in painting
The Wesley Art Gallery at the Northeast Campus Ministry facility is currently showing a One-person Award Exhibition in Painting by Julie Floyd of Strong, AR, a sophomore graphic design/painting major in the Department of Art at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
On display are acrylic paintings on canvas and paper espousing still life, landscape and non-objective imagery. A number of the artist's non-objective images appear to be perhaps highly abstracted renditions of representative subjects.
Ms. Floyd's exhibition is the sixth scheduled exhibition at the Wesley during the current academic year. Such exhibitions are prizes awarded each spring in the Arts Quest, a juried competition for ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ students and alumni.
This nine-piece exhibition will be on view through March 9. The Wesley Art Gallery, located at 112 Delano Drive on the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ campus, is open from 9 to 9 daily.
