The presentation will also cover information on the various Louisiana Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) grants and Board of Regents Support Fund Programs as well as the 2002 State EPSCoR Conference entitled "Funding Opportunities for Emerging Technologies".
The purpose of the presentation is for ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ faculty and staff to gain first hand information from the Director, Ms. Carmen Cain, and the Special Assistant to the Associate Commissioner for Research and Development, Ms. Erin Buratt, about funding possibilities for individual and group projects through the Board of Regents. "At the presentation our faculty and staff will have the opportunity to learn about funding possibilities in the sciences, social sciences, and engineering areas. This presentation is held so our faculty and staff can learn important information about this funding source. There will be ample time for questions and answers associated with the presentation. We are the first University in Louisiana to have a program like this on our campus and we are excited about the possibilities", said Dr. Walter Creekmore, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥.
