Graduate Council to recognize proessors
The Graduate Council at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will recognize the service provided two outstanding members of the faculty.
One is Dr. John Knesel, Associate Professor of Biology in the College of Pure and Applied Sciences and the other is Dr. Carolyn Minter, Professor of Psychology, in the college of Education and Human Development.
The presentation of a plaque will be made at the beginning of the Graduate Council meeting held on Oct. 17, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the Office of Graduate Studies and Research Conference Room, Administration 1-47. Dr. Neil Brotherton, chairman of the Graduate Council, will make the presentation.
Dr. Knesel, a member of the graduate council in a variety of capacities since 1993, is the former chair of the Graduate Council. Dr. Minder has been a member of the Graduate Council representing the College of Education and Human Development since 1994.
Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, Dr.Walter Creekmore, said, "These two distinguished faculty members have given tirelessly of their time and expertise in an effort to make the graduate programs of the university the best. This dedication, in addition to their commitment as members of the academy to excellence in teaching, have served as models for junior faculty of the manner in which true professional faculty perform their duties and contribute to the betterment of the university."
