ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s chautauqua nexus discusses Pleasantville in Monroe
The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Chautauqua Nexus talks
about the relationship between Monroe, ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥, and the movie "Pleasantville".
ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Social Psychologist Joe McGahan says, "Potential for
something "out of the ordinary" is what Pleasantville,
ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥, and Monroe all have in common. The question is whether we
want to realize that potential and if so, what can help us to
get the ball rolling. Answers may be simple and closer than we
realize." McGahan is the featured speaker for the discussion.
Next week's Chautauqua meets on the second floor of the Student
Union Building Friday, Oct. 26 at 4:30 p.m.
These weekly meetings are informal conversations attempting to
connect people of all ages who are interested in intellectual
and cultural exchanges. The Chautauqua group meets every week
on the second floor of the Student Union Building on the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥
campus (unless otherwise noted) beginning at 4:30 on Fridays
or Saturdays. There are no requirements and everyone is invited
to come. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Visitors are welcome
