Monroe's mayoral candidates to present vision for Monroe at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s chautauqua nexus
Friday and Saturday afternoon this week and Friday afternoon
next week the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Chautauqua
Nexus is hosting a series of talks by the three mayoral candidates
for the City of Monroe. These talks, entitled "Vision for
Monroe," will be unlike other formats, where candidates
either debate or present relatively brief statements.
The Chautauqua's format provides an opportunity for 60 uninterrupted
minutes for each candidate to identify and develop his vision
for Monroe.
On Friday, Oct. 12, on the 2nd Floor of the Student Union Building
on the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Campus at 4:30 p.m., Mayoral Candidate Guy Barr will
present his "Vision for Monroe".
On Saturday, Oct. 13, at Enoch's Pub and Grill on Louisville
Avenue and 6th Street at 4:30 p.m., Current Monroe Mayor Jamie
Mayo will present his "Vision for Monroe".
Next Friday, Oct. 19, on the 2nd floor of the Student Union Building
on the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Campus at 4:30, Mayoral Candidate Clint Thomas will
present his "Vision for Monroe."
The discussions are open to the public.
