ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Wesley Art Gallery shows one-person award exhibition
ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ junior painting major, Sara Davidson of Monroe, has art
on display at the Wesley Art Gallery in the Northeast Campus
Ministry.
On display are portrait, figurative, still life, and non-objective
acrylic on canvas paintings; figurative, still life and landscape
silverprint photograms; non-objective plaster and wooden relief
sculpture; and non-objective clay and wood metal freestanding
sculpture. A number of Ms. Davidson's works are presented in
diptych and triptych formats, as well as manifesting shadowbox
and sculptural additions to her framing presentations.
Ms. Davidson is the first student-artist to mount an award exhibition
during the 2001-02 academic year. Such exhibitions are prizes
awarded at the Annual Wesley Arts Quest, a juried competition
for ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ students and alumni.
The exhibition will be on view now through Sept. 21. The Wesley
Art Gallery is located at 112 Delano Drive on the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ campus.
It's open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
