Saturday's ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ game to honor rescue workers
The bravery of New York's firemen, police officers, and other
rescue workers on the day of the terrorist attacks on the World
Trade Center will not be forgotten by many Americans. In an effort
to honor them and the law enforcement and rescue workers in our
region, the University of Louisiana at Monroe has organized a
special tribute to be held at this Saturday's home football game.
Law enforcement officers, firemen and other emergency rescue
workers from our 11-parish area have been invited to be guests
of the University for the inaugural game of the Sun Belt Conference.
During pre-game activities those workers will be recognized on
the field.
The game, set to begin at 6:00 p.m. in Malone Stadium, will feature
ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ versus Middle Tennessee.
