ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ International Week

Every Year at the University of Louisiana at Monroe it is a tradition for International Students to get together and celebrate all the countries of the world during International Week. This year, the opening day of International Week will be on April 21, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. The week will end with a banquet on April 27, Saturday.

Sunday, April 21 at 4:00 p.m., Opening Ceremonies begin at the fountain in the Quad. There will be food and cultural booths. If the weather is not permitting, the opening ceremonies will be held at Fant-Ewing Coliseum. Monday, April 22 from 5:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., Asian countries will be on display with ornaments, food and a movie in the lounge of the activity center. Tuesday, April 23 from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., North and South America will be on display with ornaments, food and a movie in the lounge of the of the activity center. Wednesday, April 24 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Africa will be on display with ornaments, food and a movie in the lounge of the activity center. Thursday April 25, from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., it's Europe and Australia's turn with ornaments, food and movies in the lounge of the activity center. On Friday, April 26 a Talent/Fashion show will be held in Spyker Theater beginning at 6:00 p.m. On the final day, Saturday, April 27, a banquet will be held on the 7th floor of the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Library. The Banquet is by invitation only.

There will also be sporting events and games against the International Students of Louisiana Tech. Those dates are yet to be decided. Volunteers are needed for the week.
