Thermoimaging Techniques to be discussed at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥
Dr. Mark Paulik of Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK), Research Triangle
Park, the inventor of the Thermogenic Imaging will be at the
University of Louisiana at Monroe on Thursday, April 18th, 2002
at 3:00 p.m. Paulik is scheduled to talk about the biochemical
applications of
ThermoImaging techniques. The seminar will be in Sugar Hall,
room #101. Jay Teich, the CEO of Thermogenic Imaging,
will be accompanying Dr. Mark Paulik. Everyone is invited
to attend.
During the Society of Toxicology (SOT) meetings in Nashville last month, Jay Teich, CEO of Thermogenic Imaging, an exhibitor at the SOT meeting, contacted ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ regarding our interest in using their instrument in our on-going research work. Of particular interest to them was ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s work on predisposition of liver in diabetics to drug-induced injury (sometimes due to anti-diabetic medicines). Another ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ research project dealing with why liver injury progresses once injury is initiated is also of interest to them.
