Dean Of Arts And Sciences To Speak At ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Commencement
Dean Carlos Fandal of the College of Arts and Sciences will be the keynote speaker for graduates of The University of Louisiana at Monroe. The ceremony will be held this Saturday, Aug. 10, at 2:00 p.m. in Fant-Ewing Coliseum. Approximately 230 students will receive their diplomas.
Dean Fandal earned his Ph.D. in Romance Languages from Louisiana State University. He has been employed by ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ since 1966. Dean Fandal started at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ as an assistant professor and since 1994 has held the Dean's position. Fandal is the first Dean of the newly formed College of Arts and Sciences and this commencement will highlight the first graduating class of the College of Arts and Sciences.
