ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s Chautaqua Nexus to discuss the Phenomenology of Blindness
On Friday, Feb. 22nd, the Chautauqua Nexus discusses the Phenomenology of Blindness with Pam Allen, from the Louisiana Center for the Blind. The group will meet in the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Student Union Building at 4:30 p.m.
Allen will talk about the nationally acclaimed programs for
blindness offered by the Louisiana Center of the Blind, as well
as their philosophy based on the National Federation of the Blind.
She will also provide personal insights into the experience of
blindness.
These weekly meetings are informal conversations attempting to
connect people of all ages who are interested in intellectual
and cultural exchanges. The Chautuaqua Nexus meets every week
on the second floor of the Student Union Building on the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥
campus (unless otherwise noted) beginning at 4:30 on Fridays
or Saturdays. There are no requirements and everyone is invited
to come. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Visitors are welcome
to make a small donation for refreshments.
