Fall 2003 Convocation at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥
The University of Louisiana at Monroe will hold
the Fall 2003 Convocation, a celebration of the opening of the
academic year, this coming Monday Aug. 25. The event is scheduled
to begin 5 p.m. in Fant-Ewing Coliseum. At 4:15 p.m., all ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥
students, faculty and staff are invited to gather near the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥
Library to join the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Sound of Today (SOT) Marching Band. At
4:30, the traditional march to Fant-Ewing Coliseum will begin.
Once in the Coliseum, the SOT will play more music and remarks
will be made by ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ President James Cofer, Head Football Coach
Charlie Weatherbie,and others. The crowd will be asked to sing
the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Fight Song and Alma Mater. After the Convocation,
the SOT will lead a march to "The Grove" for GroveStock,
a celebration of food, music, and fun.
