Tickets on Sale Now for Twenty-ninth Annual Christmas Madrigal Feaste

The ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ School of Visual and Performing Arts, Division of Music and Department of Choral Activities present the twenty-ninth annual Christmas Madrigal Feaste on December 4, 5 and 6 at 6 p.m. in the University Conference Center on the 7th floor of the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Library. The feaste features the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Johnny Ray Jones. This holiday celebration recreates the pomp and pageantry of "Merry Olde England." The Chamber Singers will perform period madrigals and music of the holiday season. Music will be played by the Monroe Recorder Consort, ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Harpsichordists and the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Galliard Brass.

Those in attendance can expect seasonal and period choral and instrumental favorites full Renaissance/Elizabethan regalia, dance and theater and a meal of period favorites. The hall opens at 5:30 p.m. with the opening fanfare at 6 p.m. Admission is $25 per person. Patrons will also have the opportunity to purchase scholarship tickets for an additional cost.
