Health Sciences Summit to be Held at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥
On Monday, November 10th the University will hold a Health
Sciences Summit that will bring together allied health professionals
from around the state to focus on the future of health care in
Northeast Louisiana. The summit will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30
a.m. at the University Conference Center on the 7th floor of
the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Library.
ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ President James Cofer says because of the substantial increase
in ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s student enrollment in the pre-professional programs
in the College of Health Sciences, the University is in a position
to address the critical shortages in the health care workforce.
The summit will be a forum for professionals to address the challenge
of attracting top manufacturers who create jobs, so that Louisiana
can continue to invest significant resources in producing highly
trained health care workers.
