Collector of Russian Icons to Visit ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Classes

Atlanta collector Daniel Bibb will share his experiences in dealing with foreign governments, compiling documentation for authenticity, and making decisions about acquiring new objects for his various collections with students at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥. He is scheduled to speak to two art classes at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ on Thursday, March 4 in Stubbs140 at 2 p.m. and at 3:30 p.m.

In his lecture, Bibb will also discusses a painting he acquired over twenty years ago which, after years of research, has been documented as a "lost" work painted by 17th century artist Diego Rodríguez de Silva Velázquez.

Bibb has loaned the 150 Russian icons and articles to the Biedenharn Museum for the "Windows To Heaven: Russian Icons Exhibit" through June 2004.
