Maroon and Gold Weekend Reminder
Potential students, current students, graduates, and sports fans of ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ will all have a chance to get involved on campus during "Maroon and Gold Weekend." On Friday, March 26 and Saturday March 27 the campus will be buzzing with activity.
The main events of the weekend include Browse on the Bayou, the Maroon and Gold game, and the La Louisiane crawfish boil, but there are several other events to keep you busy.
Check-in for Browse on the Bayou begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Activity Center. The day includes group tours of the campus, question and answer sessions with faculty and staff, and sessions of topical interest such as scholarships and financial aid.
Participants can also meet ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s president, deans and current students, as well as have lunch and view a performance by our award winning Water Ski Team. Register for the event by calling 318-342-5430, toll free 800-372-5127, or online at www.ulm.edu/browse.
On Saturday from 11 a.m. Â 1 p.m., the La Louisiane Alumni Association Crawfish Boil will be held inside Malone Stadium (Groseclose Track end). The cost is $10 per person, but ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ alums can purchase tickets for $5 each by attending the Alumni Association meeting at 10 a.m.
At noon on Saturday is the Maroon and Gold football game at Malone Stadium. This is the first chance for the public to see the 2004 ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ football team. Admission is free.
For information on these events, call the Alumni Center at 800-261-0174 or 318 342-5420 or check the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ home page at www.ulm.edu.
