Miss ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Pageant Announces Contestants

The Campus Activities Board and the Office of Student Life and Leadership at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ proudly present the 52nd Annual Miss University of Louisiana at Monroe Scholarship Pageant on Thursday, March 3rd at 7 p.m. in Brown Auditorium.

There are eight contestants this year. Francesca Clark is a Pharmacy Sophomore from Eunice, Louisiana; Chelsea King is a Music Education Senior from West Monroe, Louisiana; Olivia Lawdins is a Kinesiology Senior from Jennings, Louisiana; Lori Leggitt is a Doctor of Pharmacy Senior from Delhi, Louisiana; Michelle Mayer is a Doctor of Pharmacy Junior from Monroe, Louisiana; Cassie Olin is a General Studies Sophomore from Monroe, Louisiana; Jessica Smith is a English Education Senior from Monroe, Louisiana; and Jessie Tyler is a Interior Design Senior from Oakdale, Louisiana.

This year's theme is "A Night on Broadway". The award-winning ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Warbonnets will provide entertainment for the event. The contestants will compete in several events, including Talent, Evening Wear and Physical Fitness and Swimsuit Competition.

The Miss ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Pageant is a competitive scholarship program emphasizing physical fitness, talent and academics. The pageant seeks talented, energetic and intelligent young women.
