ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Professor Wins Statewide Honor

Dr. Lamar Woodham, the director of the Marriage and Family Therapy program at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, recently received statewide acclaim by way of the Distinguished Marriage and Family Therapy Faculty Contribution Award.

Bestowed by the Louisiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the award publicly acknowledges a faculty member who especially promotes marriage and family therapy education as well as assists professionals already in the field achieve necessary credentials and workshop credit.

"We're the only accredited marriage and family therapy program in Louisiana," Woodham said. "Our university is the flagship university for marriage and family therapy education. We have students who come here from all over the country as well as international students. I represent ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥, and I'm proud of it."
