Award Winning Photographer To Sign Books

Lee Estes, local award-winning photographer and WWII veteran, will be available to sign his new book, Fading Warriors: Twi-Light Reminiscences from World Way II, Sunday, May 22. The book signing and reception, hosted by the University Library Special Collections, will take place from 2-4 p.m. on the first floor of the University Library.

Estes has put together a set of reminiscences by means of a series of lengthy conversations with each of the veterans of the conflict. Each person included in this collection played a role in the war and describes their experiences. Some do it chronologically and others do it by a collection of incidents. Enlisted men and officers were interviewed and have provided an interesting and colorful description of their efforts.
