CODI student participates in 2006 Miss Mississippi contest
University of Louisiana at Monroe student and Mississippi resident Stephanie Swillie, participated in the 2006 Miss Mississippi Contest July 19-22 in Vicksburg.
Swillie, a communicative disorders senior, won the Miss America Academic Award, a $1,500 scholarship sponsored by Miss America Organization and Vicksburg Factory Outlets.
Her platform was "EHDI" - Early Hearing Detection and Intervention. She chose Piano Golliwogg's Cake Walk as her piano piece for talent.
