ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Cheerleaders to Compete at Nationals in Orlando
The ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Cheerleaders will once again travel to Orlando, FL, January 12, to attend the Universal Cheerleaders Association's College National Cheerleading Championship. Currently, the team has two national championships under its belt from the 2004 and 2005 competitions.
The ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Cheerleaders are comprised of one squad, including male and female members. The competition team brings 16 members and 4 alternates. The cheerleaders are in charge of cheering at all football games and home basketball games. The ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Cheerleaders are also required to compete at one of the major national cheerleading competitions during each season.
If you would like to see their routine, the national champions will be performing at halftime of the men’s basketball game on Wed., Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend the game at Fant-Ewing Coliseum and support the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Cheerleaders.
