Professor to chair LHA committee
Marshall Scott Legan, professor of history at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥, has been named the chair of the 2007-2008 Nominations Committee for the Louisiana Historical Association (LHA).
The Louisiana Historical Association is the statewide organization that publishes Louisiana History quarterly.
The Nominations Committee selects the new vice-president (who automatically becomes president the following year), the secretary-treasurer, and the editor of the journal. The committee also solicits nominations and vitas for potential Board of Directors members (with staggered terms of office) from across the state. The Nominations Committee will report their recommendations for the 2007-2008 slate of officers and board members at the LHA's business meeting.
