Children's Adventure Time at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction in collaboration with the Office of Commuter & Non-Traditional (CNT) Student Affairs and the Campus Activities Board will present a weekly children’s time for ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ students with young children Tuesdays, beginning March 21.
Non-traditional students with young children (K-4th-grade age groups) will be able to leave their children with teacher candidates from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. During this time, parents will have the opportunity to study and utilize the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Library. This program will occur from 4-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Rooms 3A and 3B, during the fall and spring semesters and will not include holidays.
ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ students will not have to pay for this service. The teacher candidates will be junior and senior level students who are majoring in elementary education. The children will experience a wide variety of engaging activities such as oral readings, educational games, hands-on/minds-on activities, educational films, and homework assistance.
Interested students will be responsible for completing paperwork once accepted to this program. Contact Debbie Dameron at: ddameron@ulm.edu or 318-342-5232 to complete registration. The maximum number per group is 20.
