Chautauqua Nexus series begins Sept. 7

The educational and cultural Chautauqua Nexus series will begin the year with an event on Sept. 7. Ed Schiele will present "Arena Thinkball 2.0: Race Relations according to Shelby Steele."

The Nexus is an opportunity for intellectual and cultural exchange, said Joe McGahan, ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ psychology professor and Chautauqua Nexus organizer.

"One of our goals, as a nexus, is to bounce around ideas from different perspectives; the thinkball talk specifically addresses this goal and, in this case, is related to race relations - another interest of the nexus given our commitment to cultural diversity," McGahan said.

Nexus presentations are free, informal and open to the public. Everyone is invited to attend. ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ FRYS students are encouraged to attend and sign in.
