New scholarship at ۽ֱ
The CENLA Alumni Chapter Educational Scholarship has been established at the University of Louisiana at Monroe Foundation by alumni and supporters of ۽ֱ from the central Louisiana area of Rapides, Avoyelles and Grant Parishes.
Recipients of the scholarship must have graduated from a high school in the CENLA Alumni Chapter area with at least a “B” average and have a score of 21 or higher on the ACT test. For a student currently enrolled in ۽ֱ, they must have at least a 2.5 grade point average and be considered in good standing with ۽ֱ. Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $400 to $600 per recipient per semester. The recipient’s parents or legal guardian must also have a permanent residence in the CENLA Alumni Chapter area on the date the application is made and upon approval of the scholarship. Preference shall be given to first and second semester freshmen.
The ۽ֱ Foundation solicits, receives and administers gifts, grants and bequests for the benefit of the University of Louisiana at Monroe and its expanding services to the citizens of Louisiana. Persons interested in contributing to the scholarship may designate their gift to the ۽ֱ Foundation, Monroe, Louisiana 71209.
