Biology department to offer fall seminar series; next offering Sept. 28
The ۽ֱ Department of Biology will offer several educational seminars during the fall 2007 semester, with the first to begin Friday, Sept. 21.
During the inaugural seminar, Neil Douglas, a ۽ֱ professor emeritus and the former director/curator of the ۽ֱ Museum of Natural History vertebrate (fish and reptiles) collection from 1962-1997, will speak about “Louisiana’s inland fishes: a quarter century of change” Sept. 21 in Garrett Hall, Room 202 at 1 p.m.
September offerings will conclude with a presentation by Dwayne Wise of Mississippi State University entitled “Understanding control checkpoints of eukaryotic cell division” Friday, Sept. 28 in Garrett Hall, Room 202 at 1 p.m.
