More about InPulse:
In the fall of 2003, InPulse launched one of the most celebrated debuts in “a cappella” history, breaking away from traditional conventions to define the term "Vocal Band." Within six months as a professional ensemble, InPulse was named Grand Champion of the 2004 Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes in Denver, Colo., where they also won awards for Best Soloist (Matt McDonald) and Best Original Song ("Obsession" by Marcus Hanson).
InPulse continues to amass praise with every performance, recently being selected for Mainstage Showcases at the 2007 National Association of Campus Activities and Association for Promotion of Campus Activities National Conferences in Nashville, Tenn., and Atlanta, Ga.
InPulse was awarded Runner-Up for "2007 Band of the Year" by Campus Activities Magazine, making them reportedly one of the hottest, most sought-after acts on the college market today.
The group has sold over 17,000 copies of their recordings, including debut album "Alone and Above" and holiday album, "Shed a Little Light." Both albums were awarded nominations for Album of the Year by the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America. The band recently released its third album, "InPulse: Live," in December of 2006.
InPulse showcases its talent across the nation, maintaining a rigorous touring schedule of concert halls, colleges and universities, fairs and festivals, and community and private events. In addition, InPulse runs its own highly-acclaimed Educational Outreach Program which brings them to schools across the country as advocates for vocal music and lifelong arts involvement.
They create a powerful sound that features stunning solos, exceptional harmonic blend, and driving rhythms. Their performances showcase the beauty and versatility of the human voice, drawing from virtually every genre of music - from pop to rock, country to hip-hop, and jazz to R&B.
InPulse plays an active part in the evolution of “a cappella” music through dynamic, original compositions and inventive arrangements of songs distinctive to the group’s sound. The group's artistic approach leaves little confusion as to their mission: To take the “a cappella vocal band" sound into mainstream music and bring genuine musical artistry to today's pop culture.
