Adams invited to evaluate AP French examinations
Dr. Fred Adams, ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ assistant professor of French, participated in the evaluation and review of AP French examinations in June.
Adams was invited by the College Board AP French Development Committee, under the auspices of the Educational Testing Service, to participate in the weeklong review in Louisville, Ky.
The intensive evaluation of written and oral exams taken by high school students from across the country takes place annually. The contribution of college and university faculty members to the program helps the AP program ensure that the AP curriculum, exams, and scoring procedures meet rigorous standards of college achievement. Participants meet and interact with colleagues from all over the world and with the teachers who prepare students in the AP classes.
The College Board provided an honorarium and covered travel expenses, lodging and meals. Each participant was also eligible to receive 51 professional development hours and 5.1 continuing education units.
