Biology department spring seminar series offers two February opportunities, beginning Feb. 22
The ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Department of Biology will follow up the success of its fall series with several educational seminars during the spring 2008 semester, with the first to begin Friday, Feb. 22. All seminars will occur at 1 p.m. in the Chemistry and Natural Science Building, room 101.
Dr. Keith Jackson, an assistant professor in the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ School of Pharmacy, will lead a discussion titled “Acute regulation of angiotensin II pressor effects by heme oxygenase.â€
On Friday, Feb. 29, Tim Schauwecker of Mississippi State University will present “Determining historical forest landcover using General Land Office data.â€
