Social Studies Fair scheduled for March 18

Approximately 1,200 fourth- through 12th-grade fair participants, their parents, and teachers will assemble at the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Region III Social Studies Fair Tuesday, March 18 in Fant-Ewing Coliseum. Judging begins at 8:30 a.m.; public viewing of the student projects starts at 12:30 p.m.

A full day of activities will conclude at 1:30 p.m. with the presentation of awards and ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ scholarships. More than 70 community, faculty and staff members will judge approximately 400 projects in anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, and sociology.

Fair winners will be invited to participate in the Louisiana State Social Studies Fair, to be held in Lake Charles in April.
