New Web-based email system now online
ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ has launched a new Web-based email system available to all students, faculty and staff.
The new system, Zimbra Collaboration Suite, provides a fresh, modern look and features commonly available in newer e-mail systems. Users have calendar sharing and a global address book of all ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ employees. Other features, such as resource scheduling (for reserving conference rooms) will become available soon.
For most users there will be no visible change, especially if using email programs such as Outlook (for PCs) or iMail (for the Mac.) Your e-mail address, login ID and password are still the same. The only visible change is the Zimbra interface, available only via logon to Zimbra through the university Web site. Users can access Zimbra at .
University email users who use Exchange/Blackberrys will be converted later in the year.
Zimbra, a Yahoo! company, is the leader in open source, next-generation messaging and collaboration software. For more information visit .
