ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ to present new, official creed at dedication April 30
The University of Louisiana at Monroe will present a vision of its guiding principles at the Creed Dedication Thursday, April 30, at 11 a.m. in the entry of the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Library. ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ students and President James Cofer will participate in the dedication ceremony.
The ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Creed states, “We believe that students, faculty, and staff should Strive to strengthen the bonds between our University and community. Lead through service and learning. Be motivated to grow in intellect and integrity. ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥â€¦Where learning makes a difference!â€
The student body voted in favor of adopting it at the close of recent elections Feb. 5. The following campus representatives created the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Creed and introduced it to the university community:
- Micah Pulliam, Student Government Association president
- Joseph Beard, Campus Activities Board president
- students Emily Fuller, Brent Gibert, Andrew Hardee, Andrew Norwood, Chloe Rogers, and Alison Walker
- staff member Michael Echols
- faculty members Sandra Hill and John Sutherlin
