۽ֱ Jazz Ensemble to play April 28

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Jazz Ensemble will please audiences with its musical mastery Tuesday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium.

Larry Anderson, associate professor of music, will direct.

This concert is a special event titled: "The Franky Russell Memorial Jazz Ensemble Concert."

Its repertoire includes "Count Bubba's Revenge," by Gordon Goodwin, "Hullabaloo" by Alan Baylock, "Tri-Bop by Bill Liston, "Pecking Order" by Kris Berg, "Trofeo de Bolos" by Craig Skeffington, and many other selections.

The 20-piece big band performs high-energy jazz, Latin-jazz, funk, and swing music.

“This is one of the most popular, exciting concerts given each semester at ۽ֱ,” said Matthew James, associate dean of the School of Visual and Performing Arts.

There is no charge to attend.
