۽ֱ Percussion Ensemble Concert April 27

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Percussion Ensemble Concert will present a treat for music lovers Monday, April 27, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium.

Larry Anderson, associate professor of music, will direct. He will be assisted by Mel Mobley, Ph.D., and graduate assistants Michael Holdiness and John Pirkey.

The repertoire will include: "Rainforest Journey" by Charlie Sivils, "Rochambeaux" by Brian Mason, "Triple Threat" featuring a drum-set trio, and "Septet" by Daniel Levitan. "Grand Ambulation of the B-flat Zombies" by John Bergamo and a special arrangement of the "Flight of the Bumblebee" will also be featured.

The Percussion Ensemble includes a steel band.

“This is always an ‘audience favorite’ concert at ۽ֱ,” said Matthew James, associate dean of the School of Visual and Performing Arts. “This exciting ensemble will capture your imagination through a wide variety of percussion instruments and styles.”

There is no charge to attend.
