۽ֱ Associate Dean/Professor of Accounting receives national recognition
Dr. Michelle McEacharn, Associate Dean and Professor of Accounting, received the KPMG Mentoring Award for mentoring other females in the accounting and education professions.
The national award was presented to McEacharn at the annual meeting of the American Accounting Association on Aug. 4 in New York City.
“This significant recognition is well deserved by Dr. McEacharn,” said College of Business Administration Dean Ron Berry.
“She is a well-respected scholar and mentor, and a leader in accounting education. She gladly gives of her time and expertise to mold the next generation of accounting and business professionals.”
The Louisiana Society of CPA’s also recently presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to McEacharn.
In addition, she is a past recipient of the ۽ֱ Alumni Association’s Outstanding Professor of Business Award as well as the Outstanding Professor Award given by Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honor society for business programs accredited by AACSB-International.
