ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Youth Choir holds auditions Aug. 17, 24 and 31

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Youth Choir, under the auspices of the Prep Academy of ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥, announces its second season auditions for youth in grades 2 through 7.

The ensemble, under the direction of Donna Dugas, will hold auditions at 4 p.m. on Mondays, Aug. 17, 24, and 31 on the second floor of the Biedenhard Music Building. Singers should be prepared to perform a memorized song.

Formal rehearsals will begin at 4 p.m., Sept. 14. Each rehearsal will run from 4-5:30 p.m., and culminate in a holiday performance on Monday, Dec. 14, in the Biedenharn Recital Hall on the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ campus.

The cost of the full semester program is $135, which includes music. Reinforcing music fundamentals and vocal training are added features of the program.
