Greek Life launches new Web site
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Office of Greek Life recently launched a new Web site: , considered a one-stop-shop for current and prospective ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ and Greek students to obtain Greek news and event information.
Keith Hembree, coordinator of Greek Life, expressed his excitement about the new Web site. "It allows for prospective ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ students to see what programs and services our Greek Community has to offer as well as provides information for parents."
The Web site was paid for by the Panhellenic, Interfraternity and National Pan-Hellenic Greek councils, the governing bodies for all 16 Greek chapters on ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s campus. Hembree added," A special thanks goes to Tyler Plauche, Nathan Smith and all the chapter presidents for making this possible."
The Office of Greek Life is charged with advising the nationally recognized fraternities and sororities at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥, which are traditionally strong contributors to the improvement of the university and the community. Founded on principles of scholarship, leadership, community service, and development of lifelong friendships, Greek organizations today still practice these fundamental principles in their pursuit of excellence.
