Celebrate Mother's Day with your daughters at Tiaras and Tea May 9; hosted by Miss ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥
Looking for the perfect way to celebrate Mother's Day with your daughters? The Tiaras and Tea Princess Tea Party pairs up a fabulous pot of tea and the very best of company with the opportunity to benefit the Children's Miracle Network Saturday, May 9, at the University of Louisiana at Monroe Student Union Building Ballroom, hosted by Miss ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ 2009 Hope Anderson.
There are two planned sessions: Morning Tea from 10 a.m.-noon, and Afternoon Tea from 2-4 p.m. Activities will include a princess parade, refreshments, entertainment, games, craft projects for CMN kids, and an autograph and photo session with Anderson.
Anderson is joined in her philanthropic work by several community sponsors and the Office of Student Life and Leadership. "I am looking forward to spending time with these girls and to teaching them about loving themselves, investing in others and sharing the stories and needs of kids in the Children's Miracle Network," she said.
Proceeds will support the Children's Miracle Network, an international nonprofit organization that raises money for medical research, children's hospitals and awareness of children's health issues.
The price of admittance is $25 per adult and child pair, though additional children accompanied by the same adult are admitted for $10 apiece. The first 50 children to register for the event will receive a free T-shirt.
