ĆŪ½ŪÖ±²„ grad student attends national conference
University of Louisiana at Monroe second-year communication graduate student Michael Canty recently represented ĆŪ½ŪÖ±²„ at the 2009 Public Relations Student Society of Americaās National Conference. Canty, of Morgan City, serves as PRSSA chapter president.
The event, held from Nov. 6-10 in San Diego, gives students an opportunity to meet peers and professionals in the public relations field. Seminars, workshops and presentations are held to enhance studentsā education about public relations.
āThe networking and professional development opportunities were invaluable,ā Canty said. āIām very grateful to have had the opportunity to experience what conference had to offer.ā
