۽ֱ Child Development Center Director selected to serve on state committee

The director of the University of Louisiana Monroe Child Development Center will serve on a state agency committee responsible for revising Louisiana’s current licensing standards.

۽ֱ Child Development Center Director Emily Williamson, the only university representative and one of only two north Louisianans on the committee, joins a select group of 20 who will review the standards administered for Class A Child Care Facilities.

“There are two types of child care facilities in Louisiana,” said Williamson. “Class A facilities are held to more stringent standards compared with Class B facilities. It is an honor to be selected as the only person to represent a university in this capacity.”

Williamson will serve on the Department of Social Services Louisiana Child Care Center Class A Standards Revision Work Group for a period of one year.
