"African-Americans in the Arts" concert rescheduled for March 17 at ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥

On Thursday, March 17, the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Division of Visual and Performing Arts Division will present "African-Americans in the Arts" at 7:30 p.m. in the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

This concert is re-scheduled from its original date of Feb. 3, when it was canceled due to the university closure for inclement weather.

It will showcase performances by ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥'s music and dance faculty, and will include a special guest performance by Brenda Wimberly, director of voice and choral activities at Grambling State University.

The concert, which is sponsored by the ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ student chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, will be composed strictly of works by African-American composers and choreographers.
